Sometimes a thought strikes me and I write it down. These examples show a few of the directions where my brain goes and how I have enjoyed getting the ideas down on paper (or screen).

These creatures were commissioned to reinforce the main points in the departing speech of Westpac’s CIO Dave Curran.
They were a real delight to illustrate and it was a privilege to work on them.

Whether it’s sketching on a plane or balancing a stylus on one knee on a park bench, I have been fortunate enough to have received copious amounts of inspiration over the last few years and challenged myself to try different techniques and subject matter.
Creatures & Characters
Creatures are so much fun to design because we have an inventory of animals in our memories which we can reference. Making up a new one is like reading the children's book where you turn half the page and suddenly, “Now the shark has emu legs!”.
Characters by their nature beg to be drawn and re-imagined, and these are my experiments.
